Ho Ching was born in Hong Kong, and grew up in Vancouver, BC. Her first encounter with metal was when she was 13, and was awarded a scholarship for her Jewellery and Metal class during her high school graduation. She then continues in the jewellery field and completed as a Diamond Grader at Gemmological Institute of America (G.I.A.), and received her Art and Jewellery Design Diploma at Vancouver Community College. She took roles as a Jeweller, Diamond Grader and a Goldsmith before finishing her BFA in 2017 at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD University).
She was recently nominated as the winner of the 14th National Jewellery Student Competition, 2017, hosted by L.A. Pai Gallery in Ottawa. As well, was selected to be the top 3 jewellery designers to partake in the Birks Iconic Jewellery Challenge.
Currently, she is working on her solo exhibition that will be held in June 2018, at L.A. Pai Gallery.
